HOD – Guidance and Counselling
Message from the Guiding & Counselling Office
The Guidance and Counselling Department plays a vital role in fostering the well-being, academic success, and personal growth of trainees, trainers, and support staff. Through individual and group counselling, career and academic guidance, and mentorship programs, we help trainees navigate personal, social, and academic challenges.
Our goal is to create a safe and supportive learning environment where trainees can maximize their potential. We focus on areas such as stress management, time management, soft skills development (communication, teamwork, and problem-solving), and personal goal setting.
Services Offered:
- Career and Academic Guidance – Helping trainees make informed educational and career choices.
- Individual and Group Counselling – Providing personalized support for emotional and psychological well-being.
- HIV, Alcohol & Substance Abuse Sensitization – Raising awareness and promoting healthy lifestyles.
- Mentorship Programs – Connecting trainees with experienced professionals for guidance and motivation.
- Spiritual Nourishment – Encouraging holistic well-being through faith-based support.
- Orientation Program – Assisting new trainees in transitioning smoothly into college life.
Our team, led by Miss Antonina Ideke, Mrs. Carolyne Kilwake, and Mr. Mathew Sinino, is dedicated to ensuring that all trainees and staff receive the necessary support to overcome challenges. While counselling results may not be immediate, behavior change is a gradual process that leads to long-term personal growth and success.
