HOD – Industrial Liaison Officer
Message from the Industrial Liaison Office
As the Industrial Liaison Office of Cardinal Maurice Otunga Technical and Vocational College, we are committed to ensuring that our trainees gain the necessary skills in line with the Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) program during their industrial attachment. Our goal is to equip them with modern, industry-relevant skills that prepare them for the job market.
During the attachment period, we work diligently to ensure that all trainees are placed in relevant industries and assessed as per CBET requirements. To strengthen this initiative, we have established Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various organizations, allowing our trainees to engage in dual training. This enables them to benchmark their college-acquired skills with real-world industry practices, gaining valuable exposure to new work environments.
We strongly encourage our trainees to adhere to workplace safety measures by wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs). Additionally, we provide them with essential tools, including logbooks for recording daily activities and medical insurance for their health and safety.
Through these efforts, we ensure that our trainees are well-prepared, confident, and competitive in the job market.
